Freelance

Throughout my time in the advertising industry, I've had few opportunities to venture out on my own. So when those occasions arise I'm always excited to take advantage of them. Especially since being a part of a bigger team often means compromising my own creative vision. As it is for most creatives, absolute creative autonomy is an incredibly appealing concept. This is a small collection of videos I worked on during these freelance opportunities. That's not to say these are the most creative projects, but more just lend themselves to scenarios when I got to challenge myself in a different direction.

Vanguard Dental Group

When I first moved to New Hampshire to work at SNHU I needed a bit of dental work. With the help of my creative director, I was able to make a trade with a local dentist: web video for dental services. It was a great trade and it gave me the unique opportunity to try my hand at a foreign industry for me, marketing wise. I concepted, wrote, directed, filmed, and edited this piece.

321Forms Commercial

Want to hear a story about passion? When I graduated from film school, I had a moment of doubt. Could I make it in the film industry? I was working as a security guard and living with my mom—not exactly a high point.

To take a step towards our dreams, my friend and I started a short-lived production company called NoCuffKid Productions. This was the first commercial/job we got. I wrote the script, directed, and edited it.

Looking back, the lighting and graphics are pretty rough, but I remember the experience fondly. Like most things, it was a stepping stone to all the work I've done today.
